Green-bellied Hummingbird, Saucerottia viridigaster, is a hummingbird of north-western South America, breeding in north Colombia and western Venezuela. It lives on the lower and middle Andean slopes, where it uses semi-open to open subtropical country such as forest edges, plantations, scrub, brushland, river islands and low secondary forest. The bird has a straight, medium-length dark bill with a pink to red base on the lower mandible. The nominate form and S. v. iodura are recognised, with the latter showing a coppery to purple tail. It is sedentary, though it shifts locally with nectar availability.
