Green-cheeked Parakeet, Pyrrhura molinae, is a South American parrot in the Psittacidae family, breeding in Bolivia and nearby parts of the continent, with its range extending into Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. It lives in lowland woodland and forest, especially deciduous forest, as well as secondary growth and gallery forest, and occurs up to 2,000 m. Birds breeding in higher country move to lower elevations in winter. It nests in tree cavities. The species was described by Massena and Souancé in 1854.
