Green-fronted Hummingbird, Ramosomyia viridifrons, is a hummingbird of middle America, breeding in southern Mexico. It lives in deciduous forest, thorn forest, dry to semi-dry scrub, gallery forest and more open wooded country, from low elevations up to 1,400 m. The species has a red bill with a black tip in both sexes. Males of the nominate form show a glittering blue-green crown and green upperparts, while females are similar with a darker crown. Another subspecies occurs farther east and south, and is slightly larger with less green on the sides.
