Green Pygmy Goose Nettapus pulchellus is a duck in the Anatidae family and the order Anseriformes. It breeds in Australasia, including the Lesser Sundas, southern Moluccas, southern New Guinea and north-western Australia to south-eastern Queensland. It is a small perching duck and one of the smallest ducks. The species was first described in 1842. It nests in tree hollows, and the female lays eight to twelve eggs. The incubation period lasts 26 days.
