Green Shrike-Vireo, Vireolanius pulchellus, is a passerine of the family Vireonidae that breeds from south-eastern Mexico through Central America to Panama. It lives in humid evergreen and semi-deciduous forest, using both the interior and the margins, and is a year-round resident. A bulky member of its family, it is notable for its blue crown and nape, green upperparts, yellow throat and mostly pale yellow-green underparts. The sexes look alike, while young birds are olive-green above with a bold yellow eyebrow and two wing bars.
