The Green-tailed Sunbird (Rhinortha chlorophaea) is a small passerine bird found in the eastern Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. This species is known for its vibrant green plumage, with a distinctive long, decurved bill. Green-tailed Sunbirds are primarily nectar feeders and can often be found in montane forests, where they flit among flowering plants in search of food. They are known for their acrobatic flight and melodious calls. These birds are often observed in small groups or solitary individuals. The species is not currently considered to be at risk, but habitat loss and degradation may pose future threats.
