Green Thorntail

Chaetocercus jourdanii

The Green Thorntail (Chaetocercus jourdanii) is a species of hummingbird found in the highland forests of Costa Rica and western Panama. This small, iridescent bird is known for its distinctive green plumage and elongated tail feathers. It feeds on nectar from a variety of flowers and is an important pollinator in its ecosystem.
