Green Tinkerbird, Pogoniulus simplex, is an African barbet found in southern Kenya to central Mozambique. It belongs to the family Lybiidae and is part of the order Piciformes. In the field it is recognised by its olive-green plumage, the absence of clear facial markings, a short bill with a black tip and yellow base, a bright yellow rump, and two yellow wing bars.
