Greenish Schiffornis

Schiffornis virescens

The Greenish Schiffornis is a small to medium-sized passerine bird found in the forests of Central and South America. It is known for its olive-green plumage, with a slightly paler underbelly and a distinct black mask around the eyes. This species is often observed foraging for insects and small fruits in the lower and middle levels of the forest canopy. The Greenish Schiffornis is known for its melodious and varied songs, which are a common sound in its forest habitat. While not currently considered threatened, its forest habitat is under increasing pressure from deforestation and habitat destruction.
