Grey-backed Thrush

The Grey-backed Thrush (Turdus cardis) is a medium-sized songbird found in the forests and woodlands of eastern Asia. It is characterized by its grey upperparts, white underparts, and a distinctive grey patch on its back. This species is known for its melodious and flute-like song, which it uses to communicate and establish territories during the breeding season. Grey-backed Thrushes primarily feed on insects, earthworms, and berries. They build cup-shaped nests in trees and shrubs, where they lay and incubate their eggs. Despite facing threats from habitat loss and deforestation, the Grey-backed Thrush is currently classified as Least Concern by the IUCN.
