Grey-bellied Comet
Taphrolesbia griseiventris (Taczanowski, 1883)
Trochilidae — Hummingbirds
Grey-bellied Comet, Taphrolesbia griseiventris, is a hummingbird of north-west Peru in South America, where it is known from a few small, separate sites in the Andes. It lives in high-altitude shrubland and in rural gardens, and also uses steep, rocky, dry slopes with some plant cover. This bird is a member of the Trochilidae family and is notable for its long bill and deeply forked tail. It is recorded from a restricted area, and habitat change and loss are the main pressures on it.
