Grey-breasted Sabrewing, Campylopterus largipennis, is a hummingbird of Amazonia in South America, where it occurs in Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, the Guianas, Peru and Venezuela. It is a resident bird across its range. The species is placed in the family Trochilidae and was described by Boddaert in 1783. It lives in humid primary and secondary forest, as well as clearings and plantations, and is found from 100 to 800 m above sea level. The sexes are very similar, and the bill is slightly downcurved. The IOC recognises three subspecies.
