Grey-capped Social Weaver, Pseudonigrita arnaudi, lives in eastern and central Africa, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. It is a weaver with a sparrow-like shape and a pale grey crown, and it belongs to the family Ploceidae. The bird makes roofed nests from grass straws and places them in thorny Acacia trees, where it breeds in colonies. It also feeds in groups, taking grass seeds and insects. Male and female plumage is almost the same, and the species was described by Bonaparte in 1850.
