Grey-cheeked Thrush, Catharus minimus, breeds in north-east Siberia and northern North America, and spends the non-breeding season in Middle America and South America. It is a thrush in the family Turdidae, first described by Lafresnaye in 1848. Among the American spotted thrushes, it nests furthest north. It is closely related to Veery and Bicknell’s Thrush, and was once treated as the same species as the latter. It is very similar to Bicknell’s Thrush, differing only slightly in size and in song.
