Grey Crow

Grey Crow, Corvus tristis, lives in New Guinea and the offshore islands of Australasia, where it is found in primary and secondary forest from lowland areas to hill forest. It is a corvid with a notably bare area around the eye, showing pinkish-white skin and bluish-white eyes. The adult is black, with some wing and tail feathers appearing bleached, while the bill can vary in colour and the nasal bristles are much reduced. Young birds are much paler, with light brown to cream plumage.
