Grey-eared Brushfinch, Atlapetes melanolaemus, is a passerine of the family Passerellidae that breeds in Peru in the Andes. It was first described in 1879 by Sclater and Salvin. The bird is a monotypic species and is placed in Atlapetes. It lives in humid montane forest and shrubby slopes, and is recorded from eastern Cuzco south through Puno. Its range reaches elevations from 1,400 to 3,300 m. It is a year-round resident. The species was formerly placed in Buarremon and has also been treated as part of a broader rufous-naped brushfinch complex.
