Hylophilus amaurocephalus (Nordmann, 1835)

Grey-eyed Greenlet, Hylophilus amaurocephalus, is a passerine of the Vireonidae family that breeds in eastern and south-western Brazil and northern Bolivia. It was first described by Nordmann in 1835. This greenlet is a resident of caatinga, scrub, brushy pasture, woodland and forest edges, and it is recorded from near sea level up to 1,800 m. Adults show the same plumage in both sexes, with a chestnut forehead and crown, a pale grey eyebrow, and a light grey iris. The species is monotypic.
