Grey Grasswren, Amytornis barbatus, is a passerine of the Maluridae family that occurs in arid inland floodplains of eastern Australia. It was described by Favaloro & McEvey in 1968, though it had been seen earlier. The bird is hard to find and is known for its greyish plumage and very long tail, which set it apart from other grasswrens. Its range is tightly restricted, with records from floodplain systems in south-western Queensland, north-western New South Wales and north-eastern South Australia.
