Grey-headed Chickadee, Poecile cinctus, is a passerine in the tit family Paridae and breeds across the northern Palearctic, with a range that also reaches north-west North America. It is found in subarctic Scandinavia and in Alaska and the far north-west of Canada. This bird is a conifer specialist and is resident, with most individuals staying in place rather than migrating. Its plumage includes a dark brown head with white cheeks, a cinnamon-brown mantle, blackish wings edged palely, and whitish underparts with pale rusty-brown flanks.
