Grey-headed Lapwing

The Grey-headed Lapwing, also known as the grey-headed plover, is a medium-sized wader found in East Asia. It has a distinctive grey head, white underparts, and brownish-grey upperparts. During the breeding season, it inhabits open grasslands, wetlands, and agricultural areas, and can be found in small flocks. This species is known for its distinctive call, a loud, ringing 'pee-wit' sound. Grey-headed Lapwings are migratory birds, wintering in Southeast Asia. Their conservation status is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
