Grey Laughingthrush, Garrulax maesi, is a bird of the Oriental Region, with a breeding range from Tibet through central and southern China to northern Vietnam. It is also found in southern China, far northern Laos and Vietnam. It belongs to the laughingthrush family, Leiothrichidae. Its natural home is in moist lowland forest and moist montane forest in subtropical or tropical areas.
