Grey Shrike-thrush

The Grey Shrike-thrush (Pachycephala cinerea) is a medium-sized songbird found in Australia and New Guinea. It has a distinctive grey plumage with a white throat and chest, and a black bill. Known for its melodious and varied song, this species inhabits a range of environments including forests, woodlands, and urban gardens. It is a skilled forager, feeding on insects, small vertebrates, and fruits. The Grey Shrike-thrush is known for its territorial behavior and can often be observed singing from a prominent perch. Although not currently classified as threatened, habitat loss and urbanization pose potential risks to its populations.
