Colluricincla harmonica (Latham, 1801)

Grey Shrikethrush, Colluricincla harmonica, is a passerine of Australasia that breeds in Australia and New Guinea. It occurs across most of Australia and is missing from the driest inland deserts. The species was first described by Latham in 1801. It belongs to the Pachycephalidae, the whistlers and allies. Five subspecies are recognised, with forms in northern, eastern, western, southern and central Australia, Tasmania, the Bass Strait islands, Melville Island, Torres Strait islands and eastern New Guinea. It is also known by several alternative names, including grey shrike-thrush and grey thrush.
