Grey Sunbird, Cyanomitra veroxii, is a bird of the family Nectariniidae found in eastern, south-eastern and southern Africa. It is associated with shoreline areas from Somalia to South Africa. The bird is known for taking nectar, including from Schotia brachypetala and Kigelia africana. It also pierces the side of flowers to reach nectar, and it acts as a pollinator for ten plant genera that include species used in medicine, as food, or as building material.
