Grey-throated Rail, Canirallus oculeus, is a rail of African forests and wetlands, breeding from Sierra Leone to Ghana and from southern Nigeria to Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It belongs to the family Rallidae and was described by Hartlaub in 1855. It is the only species in the genus Canirallus. The genus was once placed in Sarothruridae, but a 2019 molecular study showed it fits better within Rallidae.
