Grey-throated Warbling Finch, Microspingus cabanisi, is a passerine in the tanager family that breeds in south-eastern Brazil, eastern Paraguay, north-eastern Argentina and Uruguay. It is associated with forest edges and woodland across this South American range. The species was once treated as the same bird as the buff-throated warbling finch, when both were grouped under the name red-rumped warbling finch. That arrangement was later separated in 2009 after the split was accepted.
