Groundscraper Thrush, Turdus litsitsirupa, is a thrush of eastern and southern Africa in the family Turdidae. It is placed in the genus Turdus and was described by Smith in 1836. The bird has an upright stance, a short tail, a strong bill and fairly long legs. Its upper body is plain grey-brown with a chestnut wing-panel, while the underparts are white with black spots. The face is white with bold black markings, and the underwing shows a black-and-white pattern in flight.
