It has a distinctive olive-green upperparts and pale underparts, with a prominent white supercilium and dark eyeline. This species is known for its high-pitched, repetitive song that echoes through the dense foliage. Hainan Leaf Warblers forage actively in the canopy, gleaning insects from leaves and branches. Due to habitat loss and fragmentation, this species faces conservation concerns.
