Coracina parvula
The Halmahera Cuckooshrike (Coracina parvula) is a small passerine bird found in the forests of Halmahera, an island in Indonesia. It has a distinctive black and white plumage with a black mask around its eyes. This species is known for its melodious and varied calls, often heard echoing through the dense foliage. The Halmahera Cuckooshrike primarily feeds on insects and small fruits, foraging in the mid to upper levels of the forest canopy. Although not much is known about its breeding behavior, it is believed to build cup-shaped nests in the treetops. Threats to this species include habitat loss due to deforestation and potential predation by invasive species.
