Hartlaub's babbler

Hartlaub's babbler (Turdoides hartlaubii) is a medium-sized bird found in the woodlands and savannas of southern Africa. It is known for its distinctive black and white plumage, with a striking black mask across its eyes. These sociable birds are often seen in small groups, foraging for insects and small fruits in the undergrowth. Their melodious calls and complex vocalizations are a common feature of the African bushveld. Hartlaub's babblers are adaptable and can be found in a variety of habitats, including scrubland, thornveld, and open woodlands.
