Highland Lark

Highland Lark Corypha kurrae is a lark of the family Alaudidae that breeds in western Africa, from Guinea to western Sudan. It was described in 1923 by Lynes. It was once regarded as part of the rufous-naped lark, but is now treated as a separate species. Five subspecies are recognised, with named forms in Guinea, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Cameroon and western Sudan.
