Himalayan Bulbul, Pycnonotus leucogenys, is a bulbul of the Himalayas in the Palearctic, breeding across that mountain region. It is also known as the white-cheeked bulbul. The bird is found in the northern parts of the Indian subcontinent and nearby areas, where it uses forests and shrubland and also enters gardens and parks. It has black and white on the head, throat and crest, brown upperparts and tail, and a pale yellow underside. The sexes look alike. Its song is a four-part whistle that can sound like a quickened oriole whistle.
