Himalayan Prinia, Prinia crinigera, is a passerine in the Cisticolidae family, breeding across the Himalayan belt from Afghanistan to north-east India, Bhutan and southern China. It was once treated together with the striped prinia as the striated prinia. Its range includes Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bhutan, Nepal and Yunnan in China, and it is also recorded from the Yunnan Province where it occurs alongside P. striata. Four subspecies are recognised, with striatula from Afghanistan and west Pakistan, crinigera from north Pakistan to Arunachal Pradesh, yunnanensis in north-west Yunnan, and bangsi in south-east Yunnan.
