Hoary-throated Spinetail, Synallaxis kollari, is a passerine of the Furnariidae that breeds in northern Brazil. It was described by Pelzeln in 1856 and is also found in Guyana. Its range is tightly confined to the far north of the Amazon Basin, where it occurs along a few Branco River tributaries in Roraima and in Guyana’s Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo Region. It lives in gallery forest beside watercourses crossing Lavrado grassland and the Rupununi savannah, especially in thick undergrowth with vines and Inga shrubs. It is a year-round resident.
