The Hooded Cuckooshrike, also known as Coracina personata, is a medium-sized bird found in the forests and woodlands of Southeast Asia and the Indonesian archipelago. It is known for its distinctive black and white plumage, with a black hood extending down to the upper breast. This species is known for its melodious and varied calls, often heard echoing through the forest canopy. The Hooded Cuckooshrike is an adept hunter, feeding on insects and small vertebrates, and is often observed perching high in the canopy in search of prey. Despite facing habitat loss and fragmentation, the Hooded Cuckooshrike is currently not considered to be at immediate risk, with a conservation status of Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List.
