Oenanthe dubia
The Hooded Wheatear (Oenanthe dubia) is a small passerine bird found in arid and semi-arid regions of North Africa and the Middle East. It is characterized by its distinctive black hood and white underparts. The upperparts are predominantly gray, and the tail is black with white outer feathers. This species is known for its agile foraging behavior, often seen perched on rocks or low shrubs while hunting for insects. The Hooded Wheatear prefers open, rocky habitats with sparse vegetation, such as deserts, rocky slopes, and dry riverbeds.
