Hook-billed Bulbul, Setornis criniger, is a bulbul of the Oriental Region, breeding in Sumatra, Bangka in eastern Sumatra, and Borneo. It was described by Lesson in 1839 and belongs to the family Pycnonotidae in the order Passeriformes. It is the only species placed in Setornis today. The bird is also known as the long hook-billed bulbul and the long-billed bulbul. Its range includes eastern Sumatra and Borneo, where it occurs in moist lowland forest and swamp habitats.
