Urile pelagicus
The Horned Puffin, also known as the Atlantic Puffin, is a seabird species belonging to the auk family. It is characterized by its distinctive bright orange bill, black and white plumage, and a small horn-like projection above each eye during the breeding season. These agile birds are skilled fliers and swimmers, using their wings to 'fly' underwater in search of fish and other marine prey. They nest in large colonies on coastal cliffs and islands, where they excavate burrows or use crevices to lay their eggs. Horned Puffins are highly social birds, often seen in large groups during the breeding season.
