Oriolus hosii
Hose's Oriole (Oriolus hosii) is a medium-sized bird species found in the Philippines. It is known for its striking appearance, with a bright yellow body, black wings, and a distinctive black mask around its eyes. The male has a beautiful song that it uses to attract mates and defend its territory. These orioles inhabit forests, woodlands, and mangroves, where they forage for insects and fruits. They are often observed in the canopy, where they build their pendulous nests. The Hose's Oriole is not currently considered to be at risk, and its population is believed to be stable.
