Rhynchotus maculicollis Gray, GR, 1867
Huayco Tinamou, Rhynchotus maculicollis, is a tinamou in the family Tinamidae and the order Tinamiformes. It breeds in north-west Bolivia and north-west Argentina. In the Andes, it is associated with grassy mountain ridges, and it also occurs in dry savanna, scrubland and cereal fields. The bird has a black-streaked, black-spotted head and neck. It was once treated as part of the red-winged tinamou, but is now recognised as its own species.
