Humboldt's Sapphire, Chrysuronia humboldtii, is a hummingbird of the Pacific coastal strip from south-eastern Panama through western Colombia to north-western Ecuador. It is most closely associated with mangroves, especially stands of Pacific mangrove, and also uses nearby wet secondary forest. The species is most often found low down, usually below 50 m. It is a breeding bird in Middle America and South America, from south-eastern Panama to north-western Ecuador. Its range is narrow, and it is recorded in Panama, Colombia and Ecuador.
