Hume's Bush Warbler

Horornis brunnescens (Hume, 1872)

Hume's Bush Warbler, Horornis brunnescens, is a passerine of the Himalayas in Nepal and India. It belongs to the Cettiidae, the bush warblers and their allies. The bird was described by Hume in 1872. It was once placed with the broad Old World warbler group, and it was also treated as the same species as the yellow-bellied bush warbler. Its English name honours Allan Octavian Hume, the British naturalist who worked in India.
