Curruca iberiae
The Iberian Chiffchaff is a small passerine bird found in the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa. It is known for its distinctive song, a repetitive and monotonous 'chiff-chaff' call. This species is often found in dense scrubland, woodland edges, and riverine habitats. The Iberian Chiffchaff has olive-green upperparts, a pale yellowish underbelly, and a distinct white eye-ring. It forages for insects and spiders in the foliage and low vegetation. The Iberian Chiffchaff is not migratory and is primarily sedentary, with some local movements in response to food availability.
