Phyllastrephus icterinus
The Icterine Greenbul (Phyllastrephus icterinus) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the forests and woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. It has a distinctive olive-green plumage with a yellowish tinge on the underparts and a slightly curved bill. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard in the forest canopy. Icterine Greenbuls forage for insects and small fruits in the mid to upper levels of the forest, and they may join mixed-species foraging flocks. They are generally shy and elusive, making them challenging to observe. The Icterine Greenbul is not considered globally threatened and is relatively common within its range.
