Indian Blue Robin, Larvivora brunnea, is a bird of the Oriental Region, breeding from the Himalayas to central China and spending the nonbreeding season in southern India and Sri Lanka. It belongs to the family Muscicapidae, the chats and Old World flycatchers, and was described by Hodgson in 1837. It is a migratory species that uses forested country in its breeding range and hill forest in winter. The bird was once placed with the thrushes and has also been known as the Indian blue chat.
