Indian Grassbird, Graminicola bengalensis, is a passerine in the family Pellorneidae and breeds in the Oriental Region across northern and north-eastern India, southern Nepal, southern Bhutan and northern Bangladesh. It lives in tall emergent growth in freshwater swamps and beside rivers in lowland areas. Its range includes the Chitwan National Park of Nepal, and Sukla Phanta Wildlife Reserve marks the western edge of its distribution. It was described by Jerdon in 1863. It is also known as the rufous-rumped grassbird.
