The Indian Spotted Eagle is a medium-sized bird of prey found in the Indian subcontinent. It has a wingspan of around 150-165 cm and is known for its distinct spotted plumage on the underside. This raptor prefers open woodlands, grasslands, and wetlands as its habitat, where it hunts for small mammals, reptiles, and birds. The Indian Spotted Eagle is a solitary bird and is often seen perched on tree branches or soaring in the sky. Its conservation status is currently listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN due to habitat loss and degradation.
