Indochinese Barbet

Psilopogon annamensis

The Indochinese Barbet (Psilopogon annamensis) is a medium-sized bird found in the forests of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. It has a distinctive appearance with a colorful plumage and a stout, slightly curved bill. This species is known for its melodious calls and can often be found in the canopy of tropical and subtropical evergreen forests. The diet of the Indochinese Barbet mainly consists of fruits, insects, and small invertebrates. Despite facing habitat loss and fragmentation, the population status of this species is currently not well-documented.
