Coraciidae — Rollers

Indochinese Roller Coracias affinis is a roller of the family Coraciidae, found in the Oriental Region from north-east India to south China, northern Malay Peninsula and Indochina. It was described by Horsfield in 1840. It is a stocky bird with a blue crown and vent, deep purplish blue primaries marked by a pale blue band, and a sky-blue tail with a terminal Prussian blue band. The central tail feathers are dull green. Its neck and throat are purplish lilac, the face and breast are purplish brown and unstreaked, and the bare skin around the eye is ochre.
