Scytalopus iraiensis

This species is known for its distinctive vocalizations and is often heard rather than seen. It forages on the forest floor, feeding on insects and small invertebrates. The Iraí Tapaculo is highly adapted to its dense forest habitat, using its strong legs and feet to navigate through the undergrowth.
